Qualchan Golf Course

By offering four sets of tees, Qualchan golf course provides skill levels for all golfers. This par 72 course is not only the newest golf course among the Spokane Parks & Recreation courses, it's also one of the most enchanting.

If you love to golf because the area is relaxing, Qualchan adds a few beneficial elements.

The Creek at Qualchan is probably the most notable feature, outside the golf course itself. You will find that its a part of most holes on the course, and with various wildlife enjoying it throughout the day. However, the majority of the golf course is wooded, hilly, and has several protected greens to challenge you.

Qualchan golf course runs along highway 195 and parts of Meadowlane Road for easy access.

What to Expect

Each hole Qualchan offers is unique in its own way. While the view is better served in person, there are a couple holes that could ruin your round entirely. Holes sixteen and seventeen are severe doglegs.

Hole #16 is an extreme dogleg left. The only way you're going to reach this 459 yard par 5 in two is if you're able to safely place the ball on the left hand side of the fairway. The only problem is; if you go too far, your ball could get wet at the corner.

Hole #17 is only 336 yards from the White tees, but this dogleg right shouldn't be taken for granted. If you're not an accurate driver, play it safe and make sure you're on the fairway. Otherwise, you will be dealing with all kinds of hazards. This par 4 is probably one of the most popular places to end up with a snowman.

Tee Times

Tee times for all Spokane Parks & Recreation golf courses are the same, which includes Qualchan golf course. Open play is available anytime after 2pm, Monday-Thursday. If you need to make reservations before then, make sure you do so a couple of days in advance. Those planning to play Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or on a holiday should make reservations at least 8 days in advance.

In order to guarantee your tee time, your credit card number must be held.

Pricing

Greens fees and cart costs will vary based on the time of week and the time of day you play. Here is a list of Qualchan's current fees:

* 18 Holes Monday-Thursday $27
* 18 Holes Friday-Sunday, and Holidays $29
* 9 Holes Monday-Thursday $20
* 9 Holes Friday-Sunday, and Holidays $29

Junior rates are also available for 9 and 18 holes. Weekly rates are $12, while weekend and holiday rates are $22

Discounted Rates

Even though there could be specials from time to time, the only way to get a guaranteed discount is by purchasing a $35 membership card. Each time you play you can receive a $6 to $7 discount on greens fees. All it takes is 5 or 6 rounds to cover the cost of the membership.
