Downriver Golf Course

Downriver Golf Course Located in Spokane, Washington, Downriver Golf Course offers an historic approach to one of our favorite pastimes. Downriver was built back in 1916, and is considered one of the oldest courses throughout the Spokane area.

This 18-hole golf course won't offer much difficulty if you continue to hit the fairways. The majority of the holes are straight, but there are a substantial amount of trees to keep any player honest.

The first hole is a dogleg left, par 5. Accurate golfers will be capable of reaching the green in two if they can hit a tee shot to the corner of the dogleg. The average yardage for this hole is 437 yards (white tees). You will find that most of the course is much like the first hole, without the huge dogleg.

A rather short golf course for most players (6,130 yards), Downriver makes up for distance by offering smaller greens and downhill or uphill approach shots. It's easy to be fooled by deceptive view points, so always pay attention to the yardage markers from tee to green.

Downriver Golf Course also runs along the Spokane River, which can be scene on holes 3, 4, 12, 13, and the green at 11. If you need a little warm-up swings before you try to tame DGC, grab a bucket of balls and stop off at the driving range.

When you're done, get your putter in motion and drop a few balls on the practice green. Tee times for the Downriver Golf Course can be made in advance and will be guaranteed with a credit card. If you want to call for a tee time a couple days before you play, the course offers play after 2pm, Monday-Friday. Anyone wishing to play on Saturday, Sunday, or a Holiday must make a tee time at least 8 days in advance.

Pricing Greens and cart fees will vary based on the time and day you choose. Here is a list of Downriver Golf Course's current fees:

* 9 Holes Friday-Sunday, and Holidays $29

Junior rates are also available for 9 and 18 holes. Weekly rates are $12, while weekend and holiday rates are $22 Discount Cards If you think you will play here several times throughout the year, Downriver Golf Course also offers a discount card membership. It's $35 for the card, which reduces your prices to $20 for 18 holes during the week, and $23 on the weekends and holidays.

Carts are available upon request for an additional fee of $10.
