Manito Golf Course & Country Club

Back in 1917, Manito Golf & Country Club was designed at Hart Field, but 5 years later it was moved to its current location today. It's a peaceful experience that allows everyday people the opportunity to relax within the confines of the club itself.

Today, Manito’s is considered one of the best places to golf in the Spokane, Washington area. However, this is for members only, which doesn't necessarily mean you have to golf to enjoy the location. If you do join to play, Manito Golf & Country Club offers a 6,470 yard par 71 course.

Years ago (1944), Manito hosted the PGA Championship. Byron Nelson was in the event that year and said these greens were the fastest he had ever played. Almost 70 years later they are still considered slick to intermediate and advanced golfers.

How to Become a Member

In order to play a round at Manito Golf & Country Club, you must have a regular membership.

This requires you to vote and hold office. In return, you have unlimited use of the golf course.

There are other memberships as well. The Social Membership is for patrons to have access to the swimming pool and clubhouse facilities. If the individual is between 21 and 35, there are Junior Executive Memberships as well. However, neither one of them give you access to the golf course.

Reservations

Those who become members of Manito Golf & Country Club still must make reservations in advance. If you plan to play on a weekday, tee times are open 7 days in advance. If you need something on the weekend, reservations are open 4 days in advance.

Pricing

Yes, even though you have to be a regular member to access the Manito golf course, there are still greens fees and cart costs. Here are the current rates for 2012:

9 Holes: $19.00
Senior 18 Holes: $24.00
Senior 9 Holes: $16.00
Twilight: $19.00
Evening: $16.50
Sundown: $10.00
Junior: $16.50
Daily Wheelage: $18.00 per cart

Discounts

The only way to get a discount when playing at Manito Golf & Country Club is by purchasing season passes. If you want to inquire about them, please contact the clubhouse for more information.
